I’m tired of hearing about Chat GPT but I have to admit, there are three other AI tools I’m using that have doubled my productivity over the last few months. I like them even better than Chat GPT. If you are creating content or having meetings, you’ve got to try them.
1. Fathom Notetaker. I love this tool. You add an app to Zoom which lets you invite the Fathom Notetaker to your Zoom meetings.
The notetaker:
- Records a video of the calls.
- Creates a transcript that aligns with the video so that it’s super easy to go back and find a key part of the meeting and re-listen to the conversation exactly.
- Summarizes the calls (surprisingly well!).
- Pulls the key questions out of the calls.
- Tells you how much you talk and whether or not you were monopolizing the conversation.
Feature number 2 is my favorite. Forgot to write down the campaign dates? Perfect. Fathom will tell you. Can’t remember if the budget you settled on was $20,000 or $50,000? No problem. Fathom will tell you. Remember that the client gave obscure, specific instructions on something but you can’t exactly remember the nuances? Fathom’s got you covered. Fathom has saved me, more than a few times. I love it.
2. Descript is a podcast and video editing tool. You upload a video. Descript creates a transcript and then you use the transcript to edit the videos. I used it to edit my newest course about how to set up a lead generation campaign (Lead Gen Lesson Plan) and it saved me HOURS. Up until I found Descript, I would edit the actual videos for my courses by going in and using a video editing tool to trim and clip the videos. It was a veerry slow and tedious process. With Descript, you edit the transcript and the videos fall into place accordingly. Honestly, Descript has probably been more of a game changer for my business than ChatGPT. (For those of you who saw this article because of the Reel I posted on social media, THIS is the tool I used to create it.)
3. Big Vu is a teleprompter app. I think I’ve mentioned it before. It’s made it so much easier for me to get social media content out. Some people are natural talkers. They’ve got words for days and can create a 1 minute Instagram reel on the first take every single time. Me on the other hand? If I don’t plan what I’m going to say, I either ramble, or stumble over my words. With Big Vu, I use text to speech to record a “rough draft” of my reel right into the BigVu script editor. Then I edit the text so that it’s concise and under a minute. (Big Vu will actually tell you how long your video will last based on how much text is in your script.) Then I use the teleprompter feature to play the script on my phone screen while I’m recording. That way, I’m actually looking at the screen, my words are smooth and easy to understand and my message is clear and to the point. Without BigVu, I waste hours recording multiple takes, trying to get everything “just so.” With BigVu, I usually have a finished reel in under 5 minutes.
So tell me: Do you have a new tool I need to know about? Something that’s going to cut my work time in half? I’d love to hear about it. I’d also love to know if you’ve tried one of my faves from above! DM me on Instagram.
